Bridging the Gap: The Road to Recovery
The battle against childhood cancer is hard enough without the obstacle of distance. For many of our families, the road to treatment is blocked by a lack of transport or funds. At CCO, we believe that a child’s survival should never depend on where they live.
Our Transport Programme is designed to remove these roadblocks, ensuring that for every Young Warrior, the "end of the road" is a successful recovery, not a lack of transit.
A Powerful Partnership for Our Warriors
Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Health, we work hand-in-hand with the government to ensure no child is left behind.
No Distance is Too Far for a Young Warrior
Every child fighting cancer is a hero, but even heroes need a lift. CCO’s Transport Programme removes the financial burden of travel for low-income families, providing a dedicated fleet and travel grants to keep treatment on track. Help us ensure that no Young Warrior is forced to abandon their fight because they couldn't find a way to the hospital.
The Ministry Fleet: By leveraging the Ministry of Health’s vehicle fleet, we facilitate safe and reliable transport for children to reach specialized treatment centres.
Travel Grants: CCO helps to provide targeted financial assistance to low-income families to cover the costs of public transport and fuel, removing the heavy financial burden of long-distance travel.
Treatment Completion: By solving the logistics of "how to get there," we ensure that every child can complete their full treatment cycle—on time, every time.
Why Your Support Matters
While the Ministry provides the vehicles, the logistical costs and the financial "gap" for impoverished families remain significant. Your support helps us fund the travel grants and coordination that keep our Young Warriors moving forward.
At CCO, we are committed to nurturing the hope and well-being of Lesotho’s Young Warriors. We are honored to be a part of their path to recovery. Stay connected with us for vital early detection tips, survivor stories, and updates on how we are bringing hope, one child at a time.
